Why Would Anyone Pay for a Coach to Help Them Eat and Move?

My dad is a 79 year-old retired bush pilot.
He’s wise, practical, and has always been a “figure it out yourself” kind of guy.
This morning he said, "I'm so proud of you and your business, but I still don't really understand what you do." Meaning he didn't understand why people would pay someone else for the services I provide—and I knew he wasn’t being critical. He was genuinely curious.
Here’s what I told him:
Most of my clients are women who already know what to do.
They know they should work out. They know how to eat a balanced meal with protein and vegetables.
They know the basics—more protein, more walking, less stress.

They’re not confused. They’re not lazy.
They’re just not doing it.
Not because they don’t care.
But because they’re overwhelmed. Exhausted. Stretched in 17 directions.
Trying to be perfect in every area of life—and putting themselves dead last.
They’ve tried diets. They’ve tried fitness apps.
They’ve tried being “good” and then “falling off track” a thousand times.
So when they hire me, it’s not for tips and tricks.
It’s for support. Structure. A strategy that fits their actual life.
It’s for mindset coaching that helps them stop quitting on themselves every time life gets messy (which is always).
It’s so they can build strength, feel confident in their body, and actually stick with the things they already know they should be doing.
In short:
They’re not paying me to be told what to do.
They’re paying me to help them do it.
To have skin in the game.
To stay consistent. To stay kind to themselves.
To stop starting over.
And if you’re in that place where you know what to do… but you’re just not doing it?
You’re not alone.
You’re not broken.
You’re just human.
And that’s where coaching can change everything.
